Kon-X to provide credit financing for estate developers

Kon-X Nigeria Limited, an indigenous building materials company, has said that it has concluded plans to provide credit financing for real estate developers across the country.

The Chairman and Group Managing Director, Kon-X, Mr. Okoronkwo Kanu, said this in Abuja, on Thursday.

He explained that the scheme entailed provision of building materials at reduced prices for developers, who did not have enough capital to execute major projects, while the cost of the building materials would be defrayed at the developers‘ convenience.

A building materials and construction company, Kon-X Ltd., has introduced a new form of project finance to aid in reducing the high cost of building materials in Nigeria.

Managing Director of Kon-X Ltd., Arc. Okoronkwo Kanu, who disclosed this at a press conference in Abuja, said the new product, expected to take off in January 2011, will help reduce the cost of building materials cost by almost 18 percent.
